Authorities at the San Jose Municipal Police Station in Batangas have formally initiated legal proceedings by filing a murder complaint against six individuals in connection with the fatal shooting of Charles Rodriguez Usi, a working student who was killed late last month.
According to details provided by law enforcement, police filed the criminal complaint on October 29 with the Office of the Batangas Provincial Prosecutor. The complaint formally charges six respondents with murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code. Announcement of the filing was made available in a police press release issued on November 2, as a local news report detailed.
The formal complaint names four identified respondents who have been publicly designated by their aliases: "Xam," "Ento," "Non" and "Dali." In addition to these four named individuals, the police complaint implicates two unidentified accomplices who are designated in official documentation as John Does. All six individuals are charged for their direct involvement in the October 25 shooting that resulted in the death of Usi.
Following the shooting incident, Usi was laid to rest on November 3 at a public cemetery located in San Jose.
As of the latest updates from law enforcement, all six suspects charged in the complaint remain at large. Police authorities confirmed that active police operations are ongoing across the area to trace the exact whereabouts of the four named aliases and the two unidentified John Doe accomplices.
San Jose, Batangas Chief of Police Florencio Caisip Jr. stated that the local police force is maintaining close coordination with provincial prosecutors to ensure the criminal case moves forward effectively. Caisip emphasized the active involvement of officers in pursuing every legal avenue to advance the murder complaint through the prosecutorial system.
In addition to outlining the status of the legal filings and ongoing search efforts, Chief Caisip issued a public appeal for community assistance. He urged members of the public who may possess relevant information regarding the October 25 shooting or the current whereabouts of any of the six suspects to step forward. Residents and individuals with pertinent details are asked to contact the San Jose Municipal Police Station directly or report their information to the nearest law enforcement unit.
Police operations continue as investigators work to locate the suspects and bring the case before the prosecutor's office.
